Characters Of The Great Gatsby

Jay Gatsby


Robbert Redford in 1974 as Jay Gatsby and then Leonardo Dicaprio in a new version of great Gatsby refer to him as a lonely, mysterious and beautiful man who is in love with Daisy. Everybody's went to his parties but no one show him. This main character of the novel and the protagonsit has covered a strange background.




Daisy Buchanan




Daisy Fay Buchanan is originally from a good family in Louisville, Kentucky. She is Nick Carraway’s 2nd cousin once removed. After marrying Tom Buchanan, a very rich man, she moves to East Egg, Long Island. She is beautiful and she likes to play with men. Daisy loves to being the center of attention. she is thinking more the money than anything else. she has a strong desire for love. Mainly for this reason she married Tom instead Gatsby.



 

Nick Carraway



Nick is Daisy's cousin and the man who help the relationship between Daisy and Gatsby. He is also the Narrator of the novel but also he plays a character in the story.



 

Jordan Baker

                                            


Jordan is a professional golf player she represents the new type of woman in 20's as well the friend of Daisy's. She is sportive and also masculine woman and she has relationship with Nick during the story.





Tom Buhanan





Tom husban of Daisy's is a rich man who lives in luxury house. In this novel Tom is the '' bad boy'' and comes from an old social and immensely wealthy family. Tom has no moral problems with his mistress Myrtle Wilson.





Myrtle Wilson




Myrtle is George's Wilson wife as well as the mistress of Tom. She is in love with money and she would make anything about them. She is trying to discharged for her unseccessful wedding and to be like a ''dog'' with somenoe who has money.






 George Wilson



George is Myrtle's husban who is in love with her and he realized that Myrtle hving affair with a man. He has a gas stop and he killed Gatsby, thinking that was the man who killed his wife.
